We always stay here when we come to MD either for a visit or when travel south we use this place as a stay over to our next destination. They have 2 pools inside and outside. We always stay in the Oceanside efficiency. It as always clean and quiet, we like the 5th floor for the view. They have a fair breakfast choice of foods. Coffee and tea all day long. we have been coming here for over 20 years spring and fall.
We have stayed here on our many trips to OC. By far worth the money you spend. It is a basic style hotel. Also is now an Econo Lodge. We have always stayed in the Ocean front room…best view for the dollar. Very close to the boardwalk without all the crowd noise. Terrific location and value. Highly recommend a stay here. True enjoyable budget stay.
This past July of 2013, we stayed at the Rodeway Inn and we had a wonderful stay! Thinking back there’s not one bad thing that I can say about it. We stayed there for a week in mid-July and the room rate was the best oceanfront rate I have ever found in Ocean City! The room was very clean and comfortable; there wasn’t anything I needed to do to make us feel more at home. Usually I feel the need to wipe and disinfect everything but I didn’t really need to do that there. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the bed linens weren’t from the 1970’s. The furniture, kitchenette, and bathroom was updated. All in all it was a very good stay. I would definitely stay there again! Also, I have already recommended it to friends and family!
End of august is a perfect time to go. Kids are back in school, beach not crowded and no lines for dinner. Friendly staff. Housekeeping was awesome, anything you needed they took care of us. The lifeguards were busy but very courteous. The Boardwalk was nice too, not very crowded. Perfect time to get away.
Nice hotel, clean rooms, great location, around a lot of places to eat and things to do. A lot of activities in walking distances. Good view of the beach from our room boardwalk in a ten minute walking distance.
Usually, you get what you pay for. In this case you get more. This particular EconoLodge stand very high in its class. The room rates were excellent. The hotel is very well maintained – the rooms are clean and well cared for, the hallways, unlike many economies, are clean and attractive, The breakfast will win no awards for excellence, but what was provided more than met our needs–fresh fruit, good coffee, bagels and muffins, toast, cold cereal, juices, etc. and the room was kept clean and well stocked. We had an ocean-front room on the fifth floor which was very nice. The mattress was OK.. Would I stay there again? Yes! All-in-all it was a very pleasant experience (except for the weather which, certainly, was not the fault of the hotel.) I believe that most people would prefer the ocean front building.
I previously wrote a review of our not so good experience, and was invited back for another stay at a discounted rate. I entered this time with an open mind, and didn’t hold the first stay against them. I am glad I did. The room setup was great on the upper floors. GREAT view of the ocean, and when traveling with the little ones this hotel having the fridge and small kitchen area actually saved us a bit of money when it came to buying snacks and meals. My girls loved the indoor pool. The back building we stayed in gave a more secluded feel, very private and I must say they didn’t mind bringing many towels and the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was the same, honey buns, cereal and fruit but the kids didn’t mind that. We actually went back a third time because of the great experience from the second. I like that they have a pullout sofa in addition to the two beds. We easily fit our family into the room, with plenty of sleeping space! Thanks for a great vacation at a budget price Econolodge Oceanfront!
